We stitched an idea into motion 🧵✨
This experiment explores a procedural sewing-thread effect—starting from individual threads, woven organically into fabric, and gradually transforming into a logo reveal. Built in Houdini, the animation uses curve-driven stitching paths, Blend Shapes to guide the fabric-forming transition, and a masking attribute to control how the effect spreads across the surface.
To bring it all to life, we hooked everything into a Vellum simulation, adding natural fabric behavior, tension, and subtle interactions—because even digital threads deserve realistic physics.
A mix of procedural control, simulation, and a bit of textile love. 🪡🧶

Presented here are several still images along with playblast previews captured from the 3D software viewport
